Are we playing the same game? Something's not right there - I'm with Ben, from my pov (sov?), it's got the best sound of any shooter, ever. Both ambient and directional - no problems pinpointing people - problems reacting perhaps but that's a different issue Well I watched the videos here and they sound the same as mine so clearly we are. You can't here a **** thing over the background noise and you can't turn down the background noise so it's wank. Depends what you want from sound I guess. If you want to feel surrounded by the battle then this is probably pretty good. If you want to use the sound to advance your gameplay then this seems pretty rubbish. It's like playing with ear plugs in a really loud room. I played a lot more of it last night anyway and it definitely needs some other tweaks as well. Say what you like but the gunshots need adjusting.I get why they have made people so hard to kill because they don't want it to be all about vehicle rape but honestly when you have to fire at someone for 3 or 4 seconds with a fixed gun emplacement it feels pretty stupid. I'm not talking about missing either because you can see the flashes when it hits, I'm talking specifically about how much damage people can take... It's a beta though so these are the kind of things you expect. It's still rough around the edges but it has a lot of promise. It's decent but it doesn't seem like the quantum leap forward from BF2 that some people seem to be saying. I'm always amazed that CoD hasn't nicked the squad system yet. It makes the game so much better that it seems like something they would have stolen by now. Letting you pick exactly where to spawn is a big plus in this BF
